As a nonprofit, Yikes Tikes! relies on volunteers to help us implement our program. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community and change the lives of young children. There are a number of ways you can get involved with Yikes Tikes!

Help out in the classroom

We are looking for people who love working with children to join in the fun! We can always use playful, mature individuals to lend a hand in our classrooms. Additionally, if you have a special talent – if you play a musical instrument, are a story teller, know some new songs, have a great book you’d like to share or have an idea for a arts and crafts project – come visit our program. Our kids love music and art and we try to integrate these values into our curriculum as much as possible.

Plan a cultural celebration for the class

Bring your traditions to our classroom. At Yikes Tikes! we want to expose our students to as many different cultural traditions as possible. Help us plan activities for our students around special events on the world calendar such as Ramadan, Chinese New Year, Diwali, Midori no Hi and Día de los Fieles Difuntos. We will assist you by recommending art projects, snacks and activities.

Help with one of our Board committees
