Results from the Super-Bowl-a-Thon are in…

…And we want to thank everyone who came out for making the Super-Bowl-a-Thon event such a success. Our raffle made more than $350, which shows that you don’t need Disneyland to be successful (thanks to Leanne Palmer for running that show), and tickets brought in more than $1,400 (thanks to Hillarie Cox who ran the door), and our sponsors and donors brought us $500. Our net profit? $1,432.00. This is about $1,200 more than last year’s event. In other words, San Jose Yikes Tikes! + Los Altos Yikes Tikes! = 750% better results.

I don’t know about you, but I’ll go with this Yikes Tikes! collaboration any day.

$1,400 is a huge amount of money to Yikes Tikes! and will be used to pay for operating expenses, including our accountant, our grant-writing program, and promotional materials like our brochures and website.

We would like to send a big shout-out and thank-you to our lane sponsors and donors, including the Center for Speech, Language, and Occupational Therapy, Kumon Los Altos, Heritage Bank of Commerce (formerly Focus Business Bank), Roger’s Deli, and a big thank-you to our neighbor California Water Service, Los Altos District.
